Transmission light on 2001 BMW 330i?

My transmission light (orange gear with exclamation point) came on while I was at a red
light. Now the car has problems accelerating from a slow speed or a stop. Engine still revs
normally. What is it and what is the price for repair?

i have a 2001 330i bmw and the same thing with the light but it would skip gears from 1,2,3 to 4th and 5h so it would take time to accelerate. I bought a 2004 330ci engine and trans and its stick shift mine was automatic. can i do the swap. let me know (262)617-8932

I’m having the same issue also. My transmission light popped up and my car didn’t won’t to go. What should ai do and what does this light mean
