Did you check historical codes? Do you have communication with the OBD port? Flashing is not good. Harm to your catalytic converter is possible when it is flashing. Raw fuel getting down to your converters.

yea im with the other guy, a flashing cel is an indicator that there is serious damage. what you need to do is take a volt meter and test to see if fire at coil and ground signal control. also chech your crank pos sensor. often times a bad crank sensor will cause a crank and no start and no codes. because its not comminicating with your e.c.u properly and thus the.e.c.u cant get a code from it.if not crank sensor the next thing will be to test the e.c.u itself. i just dealt with a very simmiliar situation myself. hope that can be of help to you.

While your testing crank sensor, make sure camshaft sensor is also working. Harnesses also.
