2008 Chrysler 300 red lightning bolt & check engine

Asked by Kailametz11 Dec 10, 2020 at 01:22 PM about the 2008 Chrysler 300

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2008 Chrysler 300 with a 2.7 liter. It was
flooded in Florida some time ago. I haven’t had it
long at all and have already replaced so much. My
question is that this is the second time it had
happened where when I’m driving the check engine
light and red lightning bolt comes on at the same
time. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Get it scanned. The flood waters can damage sensors and components and short them out.

As soon as Chrysler hopped in bed with Germany and Daimler Chrysler was born, the Germans brought their ideas with them. Mercedes-Benz claims to be the "Best Engineered Car in the World" That's a great statement, but the maintenance is just like a BMW - You have to stay on it. If one part fails, others are likely to follow. Open up your wallet :)
