2011 Silverado 1500 LTZ P0300 Misfire code

Asked by Sammy May 11, 2020 at 01:48 PM about the 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTZ Crew Cab RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Check engine light came on while passing a vehicle, Stabilitrak flashing, got
it home, and it had a P0306 code, so Ive replaced plugs, wires , coil on #6
cylinder, all (8) injectors, throttle position sensor, battery, cleaned mass air
flow sensor, cleaned MAP sensor, checked compression(130psi) Checked
fuel pressure(58psi)  Very rough idle, a few weeks before this code came up,
I would start by remote start, after a few minutes it would cut off, a few times
It stalled on me while slowing down at a redlight, but restarted with no
problem, I also noticed when I would start it up , and begin to pull out of
work, and it would act like I had the accelerator pushed, and I would have to
get on the brakes hard and fast, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm guessing here, but, remove the Vortec cover (leave it off) and pull the harness that wraps around the top-back of the engine....pull it forward towards the front of the engine away from the transmission dip stick filler tube. This isolates that harness from any engine grounds. Sounds crazy that but worked for me. If it does work, the truck runs fine, let me know and I'll share with you more of the situation I ran into on this crazy situation.
