Is it worth doing body repairs before selling?

Asked by Guru9BNRDP Jun 22, 2021 at 05:12 PM about the 2011 Toyota RAV4 Limited V6

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My daughter has a 2011 RAV4 with aprox. 126,000 miles on it. She wanted to
fix a few dents and scratches before trying to sell. The lowest estimate she got
is $4500 for the repairs. No clue as to whether this would be beneficial or not.
Any advice or thoughts would be aprreciated.

In my experience you will never recoup that money. Sell it with the dents and scratches and price accordingly. Show or take pictures of the areas that are of concern.

Small dents might be ironed out by a paintless dent guy. Repainting is a waste of money.
