New keys for 2011 Cruze start the car but gives Service Theft deterrent system Warning
Who programmed them for you?
I put the old key turn car on and then put new one. I saw this on you tube and thought it will program automatically. Dealer cut the key for me. Thank You
Place an already programmed key in the key cylinder then Cycle the ignition from OFF to ON (RUN) to OFF. Within 15 seconds, insert the new key in the ignition. Turn the ignition to the ON (RUN) or START position. The "security" indicator light will go on and then off. Turn the ignition "OFF". The new key will now start the vehicle.
I just did that. Car start now with new key but has not programmed and gives Service Theft Deterrent System message
