Theft Deterrent system

Asked by Marlene Aug 01, 2020 at 05:39 PM about the 2013 Chevrolet Cruze

Question type: General

I somehow set the TDS and I cant get my car to start. I had
my key and fob checked and they are fine. The only thing I
have not tried is to shut my door and lock the driver's door
with a key because when I put the key in the lock door lock
the key just turns all the way around frontwards and
backwards now I still believe that fob I have needs to be
reprogrammed. I dont really know. Im so frustrated. Ive just
been crying cause ive tried everything except remove a
fuse. Ive only had car 30 days and its been runninh fine.
Please help me.

yes, most likely a re program issue. Technology is so advanced these days car makers want your money and then they want you right back in the shop

Since the driver's key lock is broken the computer probably thinks that someone has broken into the vehicle and is trying to steal it. The door locks are tied into the security system. Unfortunately you need to be towed to your local Chevrolet Dealer for repairs. They'll replace the broken door lock and reprogram the security system. Hope that helps! Jim
