What is the minimum electronics needed for a 1992 BMW

I am fitting the engine and auto gearbox from a 318i into an old kit car
The last time I did this type of thing we were using carburettors!

I would like some guidance about the minimum electronics required to get the
engine to go and the gearbox to drive

keep the donor car till the kit car is up and running , it's going to need every thing it had before , you can expect a few curve balls
