Hi Danny, I couldn't find any diagrams of the wires in my search. All i can do is refer you to a site for discounted auto repair manuals. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

if its an e36 3 series there are no cap or wires.induvidual coils for each cylinder

Just had the water pump, valve cover gasket, spark plugs and 2 coil packs replaced on my 2008 328i. Is that about normal for 76k miles? Total cost was about $2,300 parts/labor. Ouch!
