Can a low oil presser pump cause push rod to fail

Asked by GuruBDM2S Dec 07, 2018 at 10:52 PM about the 2010 Chevrolet Avalanche LTZ 4WD

Question type: General

My 2010 chev alvance had two lifters bad and the shop replace the two. Now
my oil presure gauge is off and there is bule smoke comming out tail pipe.
Could the push rods failure cause the lifters to go bad ecause they where not
getting oil?

Lack of lube will cause anything and everything to fail. I think your engine is toast.
