mini cooper water pump recall

Hello all, the water pump went out on my mini cooper clubman 2010 and after
doing some research i found that the part was recalled and the warranty
extended from 3 years to 10 years. All websites stated my make and model
and my year, after calling mini they said my vin number wasnt given an
extended warranty. My car was made during the same time as the ones with
the recall and i too have a very similar issue with my water pump.
Coincidence? Should i continue to pursue reimbursement? My next step was
to call Mini coopers cooperate offices and explain to them my problem. I thank

miniusa.com works, but the recall page gets a 500 error - down for maintenance, and stays that way. hiding?
