Transmission fluid change Honda crv

Asked by GuruWR815 May 21, 2018 at 05:33 PM about the 2010 Honda CR-V EX-L FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2010 Honda CRV and I am told but I
can only have a transmission flush through
the dealer which is a very expensive. Is it
safe to take my car to one of the quick lube
places like Take Five or Jiffy Lube for a
transmission flush? Honda says you can
only use Honda transmission fluid.

Don’t take it to Jiffy Lube or any place like that. Spend a little extra and take it to a shop that specializes in Honda and Acura vehicles and make sure they use Honda fluid. You don’t want to cut corners on your transmission. Or check out YouTube videos to see how to change it yourself. In any case, use approved Honda fluid.
