I have a image of a red battery on my dashboard

Asked by Boltwire Aug 31, 2015 at 08:04 PM about the 2010 Chrysler Sebring Limited Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving and a image of a red battery showed on my dashboard , and my
car cut off ... Is it a weak battery ?

1 Answer

Probably. That icon means your battery is not accepting a charge. The average life-span on an automotive battery is 4 -5 years, and if yours is original for new it's probably just died of old-age. Otherwise it's your alternator. less likely.
