Air conditioner break down

I have a 2010 Saab 93 less than 6 months old and the A/C does not work. Dealer tells me a stone got lodged in a hose and all the refrigerant leaked out. He now wants to charge me $1200 to remove the condensor and recharge the system and he tells me this is a non-warrantable issue and I'll have to pay out of pocket.
Is this right?

Yes, I thought of that and I'm covered for these types of events, but I have a $1000 deductible. I've been driving for over 30 years and never heard a rock knocking out a "sealed" line - shouldn't that be considered a manufacturer's defect if this is an issue with Saab's or is it simply extremely bad luck. I've been calling around to dealers and they tell me the hoses are located well into the engine almost behind the dashboard - and they find this very "hokey" as one dealer put it.
Its plausible. My brother has a 9-3 that the ductwork for the intercooler came apart under acceleration, Junk.
If it is damaged by a rock it is your problem. But there are place to buy the parts at half of what the dealer will charge not a hard job to do. The condencer is just behind the grill and it is right in the line of fire of road junk and behind that is the radiator.
