air conditioning and acceleration issues

Asked by Guru9CFLNC Aug 08, 2021 at 12:15 PM about the 2006 Saab 9-3 2.0T

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2003 Saab 93 2.0 turbo. My air conditioner will run cold initially, but
when the engine warms up, the cool air turns warm. The check engine light
remains on, and the car intermittently refuses to accelerate. Could this all be
related to needing a new computer? Or should I be looking somewhere
else? The mechanic who ran the diagnostic said it was most likely needing a
new computer, but I would rather be sure than to just throw money at it. Any
suggestions?

Since your check engine light is on the first thing to do is have the computer scanned for trouble codes. Visit your local auto parts store and have them do that. Once you have the trouble codes you will know what sensor or system needs repair. You're smart by not wanting to throw money and parts at it without knowing what is going on. Post the codes you get here and we can help further. Jim
