Simple Question about Starting Fluid

Asked by Jamie Nov 17, 2019 at 07:28 PM about the 2010 Chevrolet Aveo 5 1LT Hatchback FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car has power but doesn't want to start on cold mornings. I have some
Prestone starting fluid but I don't know exactly where to spray it in order to start
the car. I know it's the air intake but where is it and how do I access it?

Bad idea, resorting to starter fluid on a regular basis. I would check the battery itself, you may have enough battery power for most things, but still be lacking on cold cranking amps for harder starts. Look at getting a battery with higher CCA's. Next you may want to check the fuel pressure at startup, if it's lacking the fuel pressure regulator may need to be replaced (fuel filter as well). You should NEVER need to use starter fluid for hard starts on a cold morning.
