Violent shaking on my Jeep Grand Cherokee

Asked by GuruXYJ6X Oct 09, 2018 at 09:22 PM about the 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee shakes violently when driving above 60 mph on
the highway after I let the car sit for a day or so. When the shaking starts I bring
the car to a complete stop and the shaking subsides. I have brought the car to
multiple dealerships and mechanics and no one can diagnose or fix the
problem. Please help!!!

It's the shock that runs horizontally that's connected to your steering system. Not sure what it's called but it's a single shock that's connects to your control arms..

Try checking under the cab in the rear for leakage. Mine did that but eventually got really bad and come to find out my whole rear end had no fluid. There was a wire that got stuck right at the seal of the differential and leaked out all the differential fluid which dried all of the fluid out of the axle and everything connected back there including everything connected to the tires. I had to replace the whole rear end

Diamantec, Mine stopped shaking after 30 minutes. Is it safe to drive, long enough to get it to a shop?
