Oil temp light, engine check, and cruise control flashing

Asked by GuruZFF68 Jul 25, 2019 at 08:34 PM about the 2009 Subaru Outback 2.5i

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have Subaru outback 2.5L, year 2009. Oil temp
light, engine check, and cruise control flashing light
come and go simultaneously. Every time these
lights are on, I had my mechanic to check on but
no definitive diagnostic answers. My car doesn't
make unusual noise and works fine, but it bothers
me. Does anyone have the similar experiance ?

Yes! I've had this happen numerous (can't remember how many!) times now. My trusted mechanic of 20 years cannot find anything wrong. When getting a report on the lights, I keep getting misfire codes (cylinders 2,4,&6) and sometimes another code (never the same), but mechanic cannot find anything actually wrong. I recently replaced all the coils with original Subaru parts ($$) and got the codes again yesterday. 2010 Outback, 3.6

I have a 2006 Subaru Forrester and both cruise control and at oil temp light flashing with check engine light on. I just put transmission fluid last night. However my brother-in-law looked at my car and when he pulled the dipstick on the transmission fluid he said the seal is not tight enough I'm wondering if this could possibly be the cause or have something to do with it does anybody have any suggestions
