2011 Subaru Outback 175,000 miles

My CVT is going out, I know this, but one day out of
nowhere  while I was driving, the dash lit up. Check engine
light came on. AT Oil Temp light started flashing. Brake
light was flashing. Cruise Control was flashing. I freaked
out.

I'm a DIY weirdo so I didn't take it in to have it looked at.
Started searching the internet looking for answers/fixes.
From what I found, it sounds like I need a new
transmission.

It's my only car to get back and forth to work so despite the
issues I kept driving it. Drives ok. Transmission slips more
than usual, but what am I to do.

One day I notice the radio has some sort of buzzing in the
background. It starts to get on my nerves so I start thinking,
maybe this problem is more electric, than mechanical.

I unplug the power chord that I just bought at the Dollar tree
to charge my phone, and it all went away.

Weird coincidence or not. It's been a few days and it's still
fine.

i'm having a similar issue in my 2012 impreza 187k miles. Transmission was slipping for about a month, mechanic said not to flush the ATF, just leave it. Yesterday, ABS light, check engine light and flashing AT oil temp light. Unsure about how to proceed!

It ended up getting worse. Once I had the cruise control on going 60mph and the car started bucking. I took it to a transmission shop that said they rebuild CVTs and I ended up getting a remanufactured transmission with a three year warranty and ended up spending $5,600 on it. The car was a one owner before I bought it and it currently has 177,000 on it. I'll never buy another Subaru because I don't trust the CVT they put in.

I have a 2011 Outback with 171K miles. I've had no transmission problems, but the check engine light came on recently, and my mechanic read several CVT codes, and said get ready to buy a new car. After 4 days, the check engine light went out. Was this a false alarm? Thanks.
