Question type: Maintenance & Repair

pedal was soft and would go to the floor unless it was pumped. After replacing master cylinder and bleeding the brake lines, pedal goes to the floor and brakes are not applied.

Was the master cylinder bench bled? I think you probably still have air in the system.

I did bench bleed the master cylinder. I thought that while installing master cylinder it might have got a little air in the system so I unhooked the brake lines and re-bled the master cylinder and re-bled the brake lines.

I've been told from Toyota dealer that seized caliper sliders can let pedal go way down, seriously hindering proper stopping. I've felt it on my 2000 Sienna. I will be picking up the car tomorrow. I hope it is fixed. A lot of other work and bleeding had been done prior to go to Toyota.

I'm having a similar issue. Any helpful info before dropping off my 2012 would help. Thank you
