Front end rotational noise?

Asked by Sonnyn1khb Aug 28, 2020 at 09:28 PM about the 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe 3.3L Limited AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2009 3.3 Limited. I have what sounds like a
rotational noise which I think is at axle speed.
Kind of a rub or clunk with each wheel turn. Mostly
when coasting at local road speeds. Disappears
during braking and very diminished when adding
throttle. Getting louder each day. New tires a few
months ago, and new pads and rotors last year.

Pads may be new as of last year, but I would still check them. You can also check your backing plate, it can get bent and rub against rotor. You can try Googling "common brake noises" and see what fits your symptoms.
