Why is my Santa Fe not start from time to time?

Asked by mar2robi Oct 30, 2014 at 04:59 PM about the 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.7L GLS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We bought a 2009 Santa Fe 3.3L and for the past month it doesn't start right away. It
turns but it seems like there's no fire. The fuel pump works fine. The engine light is not on
so I'm wondering what to do. It will eventually start after a few tries and the odd times, it
will start right away. Any suggestions?

Refer to this thread. It seems to be a common problem with this vehicle: http://www.cargurus.com/Cars/Discussion-c9127_ds540672
