why does my 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe intermittently not start.

My 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe some times won't start but the starter is spinning
along just fine. It just doesn't engage the gear until after numerous tries, then it
starts right up strong as ever. What could be causing this?

I'm having that problem now . Won't start put a battery charger on it yesterday started right up. Today put the charger on nothing
