wont start

Asked by casper2369 Dec 07, 2019 at 01:14 AM about the 2009 Chevrolet Malibu 2LT FWD

changed starter and alternator. lights come on everything works just wont crank
click nothing. dash light came on with a car and padlock. maybe reprogram my
key? wont even jump from the starter solienoid.

Definitely check your battery and have it tested for cold cranking amps. If not check fuses and relays as they could be the culprit too. It could also be that you’re transponder key had stopped working, but I never heard of that being a problem.

May be Anti Theft system. There are some good answers here on how to reset that.
