A/C problem

I have a 2009 toyota camry hybrid and it has recently started making a
whinning sound when the a/c is on and not when it is off. Sometimes it will start
to blow hot air and I have to turn the car off and back on so it will work again.
Yesterday the whining stopped and so did the air...it only blows hot air. turning it
in and off again is not working. Any idea what the problem may be?

The ac pump is probably bad. Could be low on freeon but if you want ac, parts will have to be fixed.
