Can you bypass a factory amp?

Asked by Jayce Feb 17, 2020 at 08:22 PM about the 2008 Toyota Camry Hybrid

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My factory amp went out, I went to a radio shop
and they had me buy a radio that has an amp built
in to it and was told I can take the factory amp out
and bypass it by plugging in the radio where the
amp use to be... is it possible to bypass an amp
without the factory amp? Has anyone done this?

You can wire your speakers directly to the new stereo without problem if you know what you are doing.
