2008 Lincoln Towncar Signature L starts after much craking.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

One year ago I changed out the Throttle body due to the car dying when driving down the road.
Now I am having a problem getting it started.  I have opened the breather housing to give it air and it cranked up every time right away.  Recently however even doing that will not work.  Back to cranking it for a few seconds over and over until it starts.
Not sure with all the sensors what the problem could be. Any advice?

It runs smoothly after started. You know better than I do but just making sure that's still what you believe it to be before I get and replace the part. Thank you. I sent this response out once already but didn't know if it went through or not.

Do not leave breather open. Car is designed for breather to stay closed tight with a clean air filter. Car won't start or be hard to start with breather open. If check engine light comes on check the engine code. For free at Advance or Auto Zone etc.

Appreciate it. I was just trying it to see if it was an air thing or not. No codes. I have a code reader. It would be simpler if it did show a check engine fault. Thanks.
