Is my Camaro a true ss

Hi I have a 68 Camaro that I’m trying to sell the guy keeps asking me if it’s a
true SS, I am sending pics of cowl tag and also protect o plate, any help would
be great

Unfortunately neither will tell you. The VIN will only contain the model number, year of manufacture, assembly plant, and the sequential unit number of the vehicle. The trim (cowl) tag will tell you basically the same things plus body paint colors, interior colors, month and year built, and (sometimes) accessories. The picture below is from my 1967 Fisher Body Manual. Try contacting GM Media Archives. They might be able to help you. I don't know if 1968 Chevrolet factory to Dealer invoices are available.
