The code should be in your documentation when you bought the car, if not then it can be located on an inner dash panel within the car which does not help you. Try replacing the battery in the fob first.

I just did, but it didn't work. Now am trying to get a code to go by.

Time to call roadside assistance to get you into the vehicle.

a Ford dealer can also help retrieve the door code. You need your VIN and proof of ownership.

Try using your key to open the driver door manually?

Did that, but it was busted she says when she bought the car. Hence reason to keep key fob working.

oh well, but you should always have at least two working key fobs. Do as I suggested above then.
