Transmission , transfer case?

Asked by Stacie Jun 06, 2020 at 08:03 PM about the 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTZ Crew Cab 4WD

So my ring gear broke and I had disconnected the
driveline and was driving it and then my rpms
raced up and it wouldn't go anywhere. Since then I
got it home and have it on Jack's. I can turn it on
and put it in gear and it moves but then stops and
then it will go again. But once I go to put it in park it
makes grinding noise. Please help
