Mercedes Benz rims

Asked by Vinnie Mar 07, 2018 at 11:15 AM about the 2008 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class CLS 550

Question type: General

Can rear rims replace front if they are both 18

4 Answers

Some cars have staggered sizes meaning the rear wheels are bigger/wider. If this is the case you should not move the rear wheels to the front.

If all 4 tire sizes are the same they will probably swap.

Many Mercedes have different WIDTH rims for front and back. Assuming you matched the tire size to the rim in question - your front would end up having the same width tires front and back. While it can be done - it may affect how the car handles. Mercedes uses different WIDTH tires (front to back) for a reason.
