Is there a transmission software ?

I took my Volvo to the
mechanic because seemed
very little rough on
transmission they said that I
need a new PCV valve . And
new transmission software
update . Which is $ 600.00. I'm
trying looking it up and can't
find any transmissions
software. Have a chance to call
Volvo dealer cuz they are
closed on the weekends. Does
anyone know where I can get
the software and can i update it

You can't purchase it if that is what you are asking. The dealer, trans shop or mechanic would have access to it and the equipment to hook up to the cars PCM to download it.
