no power

i went into my car they this morning to find when the key fob to open car is very slow but it did open the car, turned on the ignition and everything was dead , tried jump leads and made a slight noise but still wouldnt start, after that attempted pushing car to start it and it worked! gave it a run for 20 mins then got battery tested and was fine , what could of been problem ?

Possibly one of the doors not fully shut and dome light ran battery down. I would also have the alternator tested. It should be putting out 14.5 volts to keep battery fully charged.
