thanks for the answers. i unplugged the tps on the throttle body and it did change anything. i can start the car and the gas pedal will rev the engine one time for about two seconds the the pedal stops working i can let off and press it again and nothing happens. i can cut the car off and start it again and the same thing happens, the gas pedal works for a second the stops working. i can stop and start the car over and over with the same result. pedal works for a second to rev the engine and then it just idles. it works for a second. that is what has me baffled.

i only have a OBD !! DTC scanner. the only dtc i get is PO453 which is evaporator emission control system pressure sensor high.this evaporator is located at the gas tank. manual says to check voltage for variance. but that would not cause my gas pedal from working, right? i dont know unless its electrical, or the gas pedal assembly. just guessing though.
