Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Recently my car SID showed "left ow beam failure" so i went to O'reillys and
got a new bulb, a month later the SID shows the same message when I go to
replace the bulb i see that my harness was stripped of the rubber around the
wires and my harness literally fell apart in my hand. I then bought a new
harness and the SAME message apeared when i went to take a look I found
that my harness was beginning to melt. IDK what to do can someone please
help

Sounds like you have a wire that has power touching a ground when it should not. Wiring repairs can be tricky. Connect wires together that should not be connected can cause big trouble in little China. Electrical is really not a at home fix if you do not understand what can to what. Having it repaired by some one that has time dealing with this can save you money in the long run. I mean you could do damage that may cost way more than having the first problem repaired by a shop that are able to to these repairs
