i asked my neighbor bill who has been working at a general motors dealership for 15 years... he claims that your 2008 lt with the optional z82 package and is 2wd is legally allowed 8100, all the towing package really is is just accesorys for towing, it doesnt add to the capibility, so 8100lbs is your maximum... i hope this helped
