Need help before I start working on fiances cobalt.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2008 cobalt with 96,000 miles is constantly
lurching while driving at normal constant
speeds.  It does not do it at stops or while
accelerating.  It will be going at any speed
at any rpm constant and will drop rpms
sometimes drastically but mostly
moderate.  I think it just needs a tune-up,
plugs filters the works.  What do you think?

If you don't want to lose this girl, don't work on her car- have a good shop do the 90,000 mile service according to the maintenance schedule-

I agree with jamnblues. Could be a lot of different things. Nothing beats good diagnostics before starting to throw expensive parts at it.
