2008 Mustang with a sunroof
I recently bought a 2008 Ford Mustang Premium v6, and it has a moonroof. I'm
assuming this is an aftermarket mod the previous owner installed. This leaves me with a
few questions, first, did this model of Mustangs have a factory option for a moonroof?
Does Inalfa do custom installs for regular people, or do they only work with car
manufacturing plants? Would the sunroof increase or decrease the value of the car, I
don't think it would affect it much if at all..
There is one issue with this moonroof. It opens all the way but doesn't close when I
press the button. It'll move an inch or two, but won't fully shut. When I turn the ignition
off, it will move back 3 inches. I had to tear down the headliner and manually crank the
motor to fully shut it. Also, it doesn't fully open about half the time, it will only open
around halfway and then refuse to close. luckily, the moonroof doesn't leak or cause
wind noise when driving. It also looks professionally installed, and it looks like it was
meant to be there, even though Mustangs don't come with sunroofs.
The only other issue I can see is that the headliner is sagging, see the photos linked
below. There are two slots in the roof for tabs on the headliner, but I can't get them to line
up. The clips on the very back of it line up perfectly.
