Can I put a flex fuel engine into my regular fuel car

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Impala has almost 200K miles and the transmission is going bad. Found a replacement in salvage on a car with only 7500 miles. Besides taking the trany, I am now considering swapping out the engine too and making my car almost brand new.  The salvage engine is the flex fuel model.  Is there a problem putting it into my current vehicle? What do I have to watch out for?

Further detail - I have now found out the my engine is a LZ4, 3.5L V-6 and the flex fuel engine is an LZE. The transmissions are both the same (M15), so everyone agrees there should be no issue there, but I ma concerned about all of the sensors, connections and data that would be reported to the computer.

Did you get this done? I have a Flex Fuel X code 3.5 with 300,000 miles. I am going to put in W code non flex with 52,000. I am switching the whole crade. I am trying to find issues before I start.
