The truck wont lock with the remote

I have a 2008 F250 Super Duty, King Ranch, 6.5 Turbo D.  When I use the
remote to look the doors, the lights flash but I hear no chirp, and the doors do
not lock; I can open the and the alarm doesnt go on. The battery on the remot
is two months old.

Take a look at the VSM...vehicle security module

I had the same problem and I bought a new fob. Go on line to buy one because they will be so much cheaper. Just follow the instructions that come with the fob.
