AC heater fan blower motor will not come on

Asked by Loopy73 Mar 15, 2017 at 01:39 PM about the 2007 Dodge RAM 1500 ST Quad Cab RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I turn the fan control switch on sometimes the fan will come on and mostly will not.  Need to check somehow to see if it is the motor or the fan control switch.  Was shocked to find out just how much a new panel cost in a 2007 dodge 1500 (upward of $290.00) so I am hoping it is the fan motor that's bad.

Then check the fan motor first. You would need to run a separate power source to the blower motor to see if it works.

If you test and find the fan switch in the panel is bad, here is a sight to get one cheaper. https://www.carid.com/2007-dodge-ram-air-conditioning-heating-parts/standard-hvac-switch-175622844.html
