Oil pressure gauge going to 0

Asked by GuruT9SX5 Jun 08, 2018 at 09:32 PM about the 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 1LT Crew Cab 4WD

Question type: General

I recently purchased an 07 silverado with
5.3.
I am a amateur radio operator and after
installing my 2 meter radio now when i key
up to talk my oil pressure gauge drops to
zero. When i un-key it goes back to
normal.
I have re routed my power lines from the
battery to the passenger side and moved
my antenna to the bed to be as far from
the gauges.
What do you think would stop this from
happening short of taking my radio out.
I am a weather spotter for the Nationa
Weather Service.
