Well a buddy of mine looked and said a ball joint on the front fright passenger side is shot and ive been looking and to replace that you have to replace the control arm because it comes as an assembly

I can only do that if I buy an after market control arm if you buy it from Chrysler/dodge it comes as one peace so people dont have to go get all the other stuff for it

You don't have to replace both arms. Dodge sells the arm and ball joint as a unit, but the ball joint can be independently replaced with an aftermarket one. But the real question is, why bother. It's not a backyard project. You'll pay serious labor to have the old ball joint driven out in a shop, when you can replace the entire lower arm yourself with the car on a jackstand. Go on Ebay, you can get BOTH lower control arms, WITH the ball joints, for less than $75. 2005-2008 RWD all take the same one.

Just go to Ebay and type in "2006 Magnum lower control arm", you'll get about 1000 hits. Here's both sides for $66.: http://www.ebay.com/itm/SET-2-FRONT-LOWER-CONTROL-ARMS-CHRYSLER-300-DODGE-CHARGER-CHALLENGER-MAGNUM-2WD-/140620297374?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A2006|Model%3AMagnum&hash=item20bd9f749e&vxp=mtr

This has probably been answered and your car fixed long ago but in case it hasn't. There are two lower ball joints. One can be pressed out and in and the other has to be entirely changed. There's a ball joint that is in the steering knuckle which can be pressed out and in. The other ball joint is part of the lower tension strut. This entire arm needs to be changed as the ball joint is not pressed in. Hope this helps you or any body else in the future
