How can I tell if me motor is locked on a dodge charger 2006 . It drove fine when I was on my lunch break but soon as I got on the freeway it started to slow down and wouldn't start again it was running a Lil hot also .

check all fluids? motors don't usually seize unless there is no oil. perhaps another issue, check engine lights? does it crank when you try to start it, absolutely nothing? have someone turn the key, while you are under the front looking at the bottom of the engine at the belt, does the crankshaft "large pulley" try to turn, or "jump"?

When I try to start it it ticks like the starter is spinning could it be the starter ?it has oil in it .... I'm lost
