occasional white engine smoke

my wife has a 2006 volkswagon convertible bug with an  audi 5  cylinder ,
engine. she took it in for sevice ,they put on a new valve cover  and gasket,
new plugs and oil change.Since then every once and a while when she
decelerates to go thru our entrance gate and then accelerates the exhaust
will produce a large cloud of white smoke.She says there is a rattle when it
happens. Any ideas? It has 97k miles.

Sounds like it maybe a little low on oil always best to check oil level a few days after an oil change.
