if the pump makes a noise its bad. if the water comes from the pump its bad, you must replace the gasket if its the gasket , so remove the pump and if u have it in your hand you will see if its the pump thats leaking.

Of all the water pumps that have gone bad on me only a small few made nosie. There is a weep hole in the pump that leaks water when they begin to go. Look for that.
