Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Replaced the starter & changed the cable ends, still
nothing, battery was bought 6 months ago. I have
power to everything but the engine, & when I turn
the key, all I get is the rapid beeping as if the
battery is dead. Could the starter be on wrong or is
there only one way it goes on? Please help!!

Also, I took the batter to O'Reilly, was told the battery needs a charge, took it home and installed after replacing the terminal ends, nothing but the rapid clicks.
