How easy would it be to take an automatic 1970's mustang and convert it into a manual?

I have a 1970 mustang that has an automatic transmission and I really want to make it a
manual. Is it a possibility or is it to much work?

Besides the engine and a transmission what other parts would I need, and would an 03 transmission be compatible with a 99 engine?

Drive shaft needs to fit. Converting to a manual is not a huge project but it does take some expertise. Got to cut a hole for the clutch rod. People do it. If you are getting a newer motor, get the 5 speed that came with it. Plan it out, read about the conversion. You can do it.

Done it many times. Not hard at all. The clutch pedal has a shaft made on it and it replaces the shaft the holds the brake pedal on. Very easy of you know this trick. The hole in the firewall should be a punch out that is way also. The rest is just changing parts. Driveshaft will work of you're trading a c4 for top loader and should work with t5.
