Actual factory numbers for a 1984 5.0 HO (VIN code M) are 175 HP @ 4,000 rpm, and 245 ft-lbs @ 2,200 rpm.
the rating was 175hp and 225ftlbstq for that year although many found it to be closer to 200hp and 220ftlbstq
stock is only rated at around 270 hp you can get the answer at american muscle .com
