Mysterious leak

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello folks,

So my wife's Escape has been leaking for
about two months and since we planned
on taking a long drive tomorrow I wanted
to make sure the leak wasn't anything
major.

After checking the fluids, which were all
good (last oil change was 2 months ago), I
saw a drip out of the corner of my eye.
Found it and took the attached picture.

Heater core you think?   Thing is, no smell,
no discharge on the floorboards and it has
not been running hot.    The leak, however
has been leaving a brownish stain on the
driveway.  Antifreeze I imagine, but the
coolant level was good.

What do you guys think?  If it's the heater
core there's no way I'm taking it on a 5
hour drive to San Antonio.  That would also
be an expense fix.

Thoughts?

looks kind of like the drain line for the A/C. Does fluid come out during a hot day if you have A/C on full blast?

Sure does. Seems to increase leaking as the engine cools down.

That's the A/C condenser drain.
